Disney has announced new details on the upcoming second season of the Hulu Original series, “Nine Perfect Strangers”, which will be returning to our screens later this year.

The upcoming season will see nine new strangers, who are connected in ways they could never imagine and are invited by a mysterious guru called Masha Dmitrichenko, who is played by Nicole Kidman, to join a transformational wellness retreat in the Austrian Alps. Over the course of a week, she takes them to the brink. Will they make it? Will she? Masha is willing to try anything in the interest of healing everyone involved, including herself.

The series stars Nicole Kidman, Henry Golding, Lena Olin, Annie Murphy, Christine Baranski, Lucas Englander, King Princess, Murray Bartlett, Dolly de Leon, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Mark Strong and Aras Aydin.

The show hails from David E. Kelley, Bruna Papandrea’s Made Up Stories, Nicole Kidman’s Blossom Films, and Fifth Season. The series is executive produced by David E. Kelley, Nicole Kidman, Per Saari, Bruna Papandrea, Steve Hutensky, Molly Allen, Jonathan Levine, Rachel Shukert, Liane Moriarty, Matthew Tinker, Anthony Byrne and JH Butterworth.

The first season of “Nine Perfect Strangers” was released back in 2021 and is based on The New York Times bestselling book by author Liane Moriarty, “Nine Perfect Strangers” takes place at a boutique health-and-wellness resort that promises healing and transformation as nine stressed city dwellers try to get on a path to a better way of living. Watching over them during this 10-day retreat is the resort’s director, Masha, a woman on a mission to reinvigorate their tired minds and bodies. However, these nine “perfect” strangers have no idea what is about to hit them.

Season two of “Nine Perfect Strangers” will be coming to Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States later this spring, so while it’s not an exact date, with only a few months of spring, it shouldn’t be too long until we get to see it.

Originally, the show was billed as a limited series, but when it launched on Hulu, it became the streaming service’s most-watched original ever, so it was quickly picked up for a second season.

The first season of the show is available to stream on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Amazon Prime Video internationally.   Fifth Season is handling distribution on the series as well, which is why the series currently isn’t available to stream on Disney+ outside of the United States.
