Hulu Announce Comic-Con At Home Lineup Including Marvel’s Helstrom
This year’s San Diego Comic-Con won’t be taking place this year in the usual way, due to the Coronavirus, however, it will now move online, so people can watch it from home. Hulu has announced details on some virtual panels that they will be putting online, showcasing three Hulu Originals including the new live-action series, Helstrom, which is based on a Marvel comic and will be the last series made by “Marvel Television”.
It’s also the first time the Helstrom logo has been revealed and it’s noteworthy that the Marvel logo hasn’t been included, so Disney might be trying to distance the show from other Marvel projects.
Helstrom
As the son and daughter of a mysterious and powerful serial killer, Hulu Original Helstrom follows Daimon (Tom Austen) and Ana Helstrom (Sydney Lemmon), and their complicated dynamic, as they track down the worst of humanity — each with their own attitude and skills.
Crossing Swords
Goodhearted hero wannabe Patrick lands his dream job as a squire, only to learn the royal castle is a corrupt hornet’s nest of horny monarchs, crooks and charlatans. War, murder, full frontal nudity—who knew brightly colored peg people led such exciting lives?
Solar Opposites
Co-created by Justin Roiland (Rick & Morty) and Mike McMahan (ex-writer’s assistant on Rick & Morty), Solar Opposites centers around a team of four aliens who escape their exploding home world only to crash land into a move-in ready home in suburban America. They are evenly split on whether Earth is awful or awesome. Korvo (Justin Roiland) and Yumyulack (Sean Giambrone) only see the pollution, crass consumerism, and human frailty while Terry (Thomas Middleditch) and Jesse (Mary Mack) love humans and all their TV, junk food and fun stuff. Their mission: protect the Pupa, a living supercomputer that will one day evolve into its true form, consume them and terraform the Earth.
Comic-Con at Home will be taking place between July 22-26, which is when SDCC was originally scheduled. No dates or times have been announced for when these virtual panels will be released.
