“Homeland” Tops The Nielsen Streaming Chart

Nielsen has announced its top 10 streaming charts for the United States from December 1st 2025, to December 7th 2025. There are four different charts: Top 10 Originals, Acquired Shows, Movies, and a combined total chart.

Netflix continued to dominate the Nielsen streaming chart with the first batch of new episodes of “Stranger Things”, with Disney’s 20th Television show, “The Beast In Me”, also continuing to be a very popular series on Netflix.

The re-release of the 20th Television series, “Homeland”, along with both “Rio” films, on Netflix also gave these titles a massive boost in viewership, highlighting how rotating titles around the different streaming services can bring new interest into older shows and films.

With the holiday season in full swing, many iconic Christmas movies, including “Home Alone”, got a bump in views.   The original series, “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” also continues to keep fans entertained. 

Disney continues to hold a large portion of the acquired charts, with its biggest hits, including “Grey’s Anatomy”, “Bob’s Burgers” and “Bluey”, still drawing viewers on Hulu and Disney+.   Disney was also able to take advantage of some popular licensed content, such as “Law & Order”.
