Disney has announced that all eight seasons of the hit series, “Homeland”, are going to be coming to Disney+ in the United Kingdom and Ireland on Wednesday, 21st February 2024.

The show centres on an American soldier taken prisoner during the invasion of Iraq in 2003. Left for dead, the soldier miraculously returns to the U.S. after years in captivity. Danes plays Carrie Anderson, a driven CIA officer battling her own psychological demons, who becomes convinced that the intelligence that led to his re-capture was a setup and that this national hero may be connected to an Al Qaeda plot to be carried out on American soil.

The series is currently available to stream on Netflix until February 15th 2024. “Homeland” has won eight Emmys and five Golden Globes, including Best Drama Series, Actress (Claire Danes) and Actor (Damian Lewis).

Produced by Fox 21 Television Studios and was developed for American television by Alex Gansa and Howard Gordon, and is based on the original Israeli series “Prisoners of War” by Gideon Raff. Along with Gansa and Gordon, executive producers for season eight include Chip Johannessen, Debora Cahn, Lesli Linka Glatter, Patrick Harbinson, Claire Danes, Michael Klick, Avi Nir, Ran Telem and Gideon Raff.
