One of the many Marvel Studios currently in development is “Captain America: New World Order”, which is currently scheduled to arrive in cinemas on May 3rd 2024 and will star Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, who became the new Captain America in the Disney+ series, “The Falcon And The Winter Soldier”. It will also star Danny Ramirez, Xosha Roquemore, Carl Lumbly and Shira Haas.  Tim Black Nelson is also returning as “The Leader”, who we last saw in “The Incredible Hulk” film.

Following the passing of William Hurt, Harrison Ford will be taking over the role of Thaddeus E. “Thunderbolt” Ross, and recently, during an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, was asked about his take on the character, to which he replied:

We start filming relatively soon. I’m sure anyone you’ve ever talked with about Harrison Ford says this, but it’s unbelievable that we get to meet and talk with him and that he’s embracing this role. He’s tireless with the amount of work that he does. This is certainly a big part for Thaddeus Ross. He’s the president of the United States in the film. And with Harrison, you think about Air Force One, and you think about some of his confrontations with the president in Clear and Present Danger. There’s a dynamic between President Ross and Sam Wilson. They have a history together, but in this film, we’ll be seeing the dynamic between Captain America and the president of the United States in a way that is just incredible.

This has been a dream for years, ever since Jon Favreau cast Harrison Ford in Cowboys and Aliens. I was always very jealous of that, so to have him finally in the MCU is just incredible. It’s like, I can cross that off the wishlist.

“Captain America: New World Order” will be directed by Julius Onah, with the showrunner from “The Falcon And The Winter Soldier”, Malcolm Spellman writing the script along with Dalan Musson.

The film is set to be released in cinemas on May 3rd, 2024 and we should expect to see the film available on Disney+ later in 2024.
