New casting details have been revealed for FX’s new limited series, “Retreat”, which is a mystery series with a new kind of detective at the helm – a gen Z amateur sleuth named Darby Hart. A reclusive billionaire invites Darby and 11 other guests to participate in a Retreat at a remote and dazzling location. When one of the other guests is found dead, Darby must fight to prove it was murder against a tide of competing interests and before the killer takes another life.
This new 10-episode series will star “The Crown’s” Emma Corrin and according to Deadline is reporting that Clive Owen (Closer) will be joining the series along with Harris Dickinson (The King’s Man), Alice Braga (Queen of the South), Jermaine Fowler (Judas and the Black Messiah), Joan Chen (Marco Polo), Raul Esparza (Law & Order: SVU), Edoardo Ballerini (Dinner Rush), Pegah Ferydoni (Turkish for Beginners), Ryan J. Haddad (The Politician) and Javed Khan (The Bay).
They will be playing the following characters:
- Owen – Andy
- Marling – Lee
- Dickinson – Bill
- Braga – Sian
- Fowler – Martin
- Chen – Mei
- Esparza – David
- Ballerini – Ray
- Ferydoni – Ziba
- Haddad – Oliver
- Khan – Rohan.
“Retreat” is being created by Marling and Zal Batmanglij, they are both writing and executive producing the series. Marling is going to be also directing. Andrea Sperling is also an executive producer on the show.
Expect this series to be released on Hulu in the United States and on Disney+ internationally as a Star Original. No release date has yet been announced for this series.
