Disney has released the first trailer for “Shook”, a new series which will premiere on Disney Channel’s YouTube on September 28th at 9:45 am Pacific/12:45 pm Eastern and then every Saturday starting October 12th.

Mia Brooks is an incredible dancer who is afraid to dance. When responsibilities at home prevent her from living her dreams, Mia meets a hip-hop crew that shows her a different way of dancing. Not for the approval of others, but for herself!

The series stars Sofia Wylie, who is also is starring in the upcoming “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series,” for Disney+. She has also starred in “Andi Mack” and “Marvel Rising”.

The “Shook” cast includes Somali Rose (“Raven’s Home”), LeShay Tomlinson (“Insecure”), Sydney Sepulveda (“Hard Knocks”), Wayne Mackins (“The Prom”), Jenna Z. Alvarez (“Kidding”) and Caroline Harris (“Megalodon”).

The series was originally expected to be a Disney+ Original and as all library content from the Disney Channel will be coming to the new streaming service, eventually it will be available on Disney+.
