Disney has released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming animated movie, “Moana 2”, which is set three years after her first voyage, which sees Moana head out on an expansive journey in search of people beyond the shores of Motunu
Joined by Maui and a brand-new crew of unlikely seafarers, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.

This new film will see Auli‘i Cravalho and Dwayne Johnson return as the voices of Moana and Maui. It has been directed by Dave Derrick Jr. with music by Grammy winners Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, Grammy nominee Opetaia Foa’i, and three-time Grammy winner Mark Mancina.
Originally, this film was going to be released as a Disney+ series, but Disney decided they would reformat the release for a theatrical release.
The upcoming movie will be released in cinemas on November 27th 2024, so expect to see “Moana 2” released on Disney+ in 2025.
Roger’s Take: The teaser trailer does a great job in showcasing its just more of the same (which is ideally what people want), highlighting a brand new monster for her and Maui to battle with, along with bringing back the Tamatoa. Much like with a teaser trailer, it’s not there to give you an idea about the plot but just to build a little more excitement. Considering how popular the first film is, this teaser trailer does a great job of building that hype up.
