This weekend, Taylor Swift was going to headline three events at the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna, Austria, but sadly, earlier this week, due to the threat of a terrorist event, which saw two people arrested, the decision was made to cancel three events.

A statement from the organisers said: “Due to confirmation by government officials of a planned terrorist attack at the Ernst Happel Stadium, we have no choice but to cancel the three planned shows for everyone’s safety.”

Because of the unique situation, Disney is airing the “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour – Taylor’s Version” on free TV on the ORF 1 channel in Austria and Germany at 9:45 pm on Saturday 10th August 2024.

This week, Disney is also offering a free one-week trial to Disney+ in Austria and Germany over the weekend, giving anyone a chance to watch the Taylor Swift concert special.

This special cut of the record-breaking phenomenon concert film “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour” contains four additional main show songs not shown in theatres and an acoustic collection after the credits featuring four unseen performances.

Roger’s Take: It’s been a terrible week for Taylor Swift and her fans in Germany and Austria, so this is a nice goodwill gesture to those living there, especially putting it out on free broadcast television.  It’s not the same as being at the event, but safety always has to come first.
