Disney Reveal New Original Animated Movie “Clay”
During Disney’s Entertainment Showcase event at the D23: Ultimate Fan Event, Disney Animation chief Jared Bush revealed details on a brand-new original film called “Clay”, which will be heading to cinemas and Disney+.
This new film will star Kieran Culkin, who has previously starred in the hit HBO series “Succession”, along with Searchlight Pictures’ “A Real Pain”, for which he won an Oscar. Kieran will be playing the role of Flip, who might be a little in over his head.

Jared revealed some details on the film:
“We have a rich history of stories that celebrate inspiring mentors and their aspirational students. So, with that in mind, we asked ourselves one very important question: What if the next Disney mentor stunk?. And he does, and his name is Flip, and he has chosen to be his village’s next great mentor and is assigned his first student — a literal ball of clay born that very moment, named Mushi. So, like all inspiring mentors, Flip runs away in the middle of the night, only to discover that Mushi is inescapable and pure chaos, and now out in the wild, Flip must keep Mushi alive on a journey through a fantastical forest.”

“Clay” will be coming to cinemas for Thanksgiving in November 2028, and we should expect to see it released on Disney+ in early 2029.
