Disney+ Original Marvel’s “Wonder Man” Trailer Released
Disney has released a trailer for the upcoming Marvel series, “Wonder Man”, which will be coming to Disney+ in early 2026.
During a Marvel panel at the New York Comic-Con, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Sir Ben Kingsley, who star in the show, took to the stage to share a first look at “Wonder Man” with those in attendance before the trailer was released globally.
Abdul-Mateen will play the role of actor Simon Williams, who seeks to make his mark in the world of blockbuster superhero movies. Ben Kingsley will be reprising his role as fellow actor Trevor Slattery, who was last seen in 2021’s “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”.
Check out the trailer below:
While on the stage, Abdul Mateen and Kingsley spoke about filming on location in Los Angeles, and they also revealed the show will premiere on January 27th, 2026, at 6 p.m. PT on Disney+. Originally, the show was scheduled to come to Disney+ in December 2025, but it was pushed back away from the holidays.
The upcoming show has been co-created by Destin Daniel Cretton, who directed “Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings”. He has executive-produced the show and directed the first episode. Andrew Guest, who worked on “Hawkeye,” served as the showrunner on “Wonder Man”. X Mayo, Demetrius Grosse, Arian Moayed, and Olivia Thirlby also star in the series.
Roger’s Take: “Wonder Man” looks very different to any previous Marvel show, and that’s a good thing, especially with the superhero fatigue that the show is also leaning in on. I know very little about the character, bar seeing him pop up in a LEGO video game, so it’ll be interesting to learn more, especially with how they can twist this into a superhero story.
