Disney has released the first trailer for the upcoming Spanish Disney+ Original series, “Ladrones: la tiara de santa Águeda”, aka “Theives”, which stars Álex González and Silvia Alonso.

The six-episode series features Amber (Silvia Alonso), one of the brightest thieves in the world, who, after a failed robbery in Las Vegas, prepares for her next blow. This time it will be on Esperanza Island, a paradise place in the middle of the Pacific. His goal is the tiara of Santa Águeda, a jewel valued at 240 million dollars, which will be carried during his wedding, the daughter of Mexican oil tycoon Emilio Villegas (Asier Etxeandia). To prepare for the robbery, Amber has been infiltrated into the Villegas family for three years as governess. But his millimetre plan jumps in the air when he appears on Rui Island (Alex Gonzalez), a brazen and mysterious thief, with whom he had a complicated relationship in Las Vegas during a spectacular blow.

The series has been produced by Plano a Plano (The Prince, Here Down, Valeria, A Perfect Tale). It has been directed by Inma Torrente (Valeria, Los sends), along with Alejandro Bazzano (Plastic Sea, The Paper House, Cicatriz), who directed two of the episodes. The series has been written by Veronica Marzá (Mar de plástico, Cicacre), Pablo Roa (Vis a vis, La casa de papel de papel, Cicastóz) and Fernando Sancristóbal (La casa de papel de la forma de la perros, Tierra de lobos). Actor Álex González, along with Verónica Marzá, Pablo Roa, César Benítez and Ángel Armada, are also executive producers on the project.

This series was filmed in the Dominican Republic, Malaga and Madrid.

“Ladrones: la tiara de santa Águeda” will premiere on Disney+ in Spain on June 13th 2025. As with other international originals, expect to see this show also released on Disney+ around the world and on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States.
