Disney+ Now Available On EE TV Box Pro & EE TV Box Edge Devices

Disney+ subscribers in the United Kingdom are now able to watch the streaming service on the EE TV Box Pro and EE TV Box Edge, giving EE customers seamless access to the popular streaming service.

With Disney+ now available, EE TV offers access to a wider range of films, series and originals without the need to switch devices – helping households spend less time searching for something to watch and more time enjoying it.

Disney+ is the streaming home for entertainment from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, Hulu, FX and ESPN. Customers can enjoy a constantly growing library of blockbuster movies, brand new originals, exclusive hit shows and live sports throughout the year, including Disney’s Zootropolis 2, Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: Maul – Shadow LordThe Testaments, FX’s The Beauty and season two of National Geographic’s Tucci in Italy, and can also look forward to upcoming premieres including British comedy-drama Alice and Steve and season five of FX’s The Bear. It has become a staple in many UK homes, appealing to a broad mix of audiences through its depth of storytelling and range of genres.

Disney+ will be available on the EE TV Box Pro and EE TV Box Edge as an app, giving customers the flexibility to sign up and manage their subscription directly through Disney+.   With a range of subscription options, giving customers the flexibility to choose a plan that’s right for them. Billing is managed directly by Disney+, so EE customers will need to go to the official Disney+ website to subscribe.

Luciano Oliveira, Director of Product, Home & TV, EE, said in a statement regarding the deal:

“It’s our goal to make EE TV a go-to destination for great entertainment, and adding the Disney+ app reinforces that by bringing an even broader mix of much-loved content to the platform. From big new releases to iconic series and timeless family favourites, it gives customers more of what they love, all in one place.”

Roger’s Take: This is great news for people with an EE TV Box Pro and EE TV Box Edge, especially if they are already subscribers and have to use a different device.  This move should also make it easier for EE customers in the UK to subscribe.
