“The Breslau Murders” Renewed For A Second Season

Last year, Disney+ released its first Polish Original series, “The Breslau Murders”, around the world, and it’s already proven to be a big hit for the platform, as Disney has announced a second season is in development for the streaming service.

The first season is set in 1936, with the 11th Olympic Games approaching, and the eyes of the entire world are turned towards the capital of the Third Reich. Meanwhile, in Breslau, a brutal murder takes place, which may ruin the whole propaganda campaign and disrupt the great sports event. The only one who can close the investigation in time is the police commissioner of Polish origin, Franz Podolsky. Known for his controversial but effective methods, Podolsky finds himself face-to-face with the emerging evil. While facing his own demons, he begins a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse with the murderer, threatening both his career and personal life.

The series stars Tomasz Schuchardt, Adam Bobik, Sandra Drzymalska, Przemysław Bluszcz, Ireneusz Czop and Agata Kulesza.

In the second season, Franz Podolsky is unexpectedly released from prison and involuntarily involved in the investigation into the murder of a woman. The case appears to be linked to an investigation that the commissioner failed to resolve years ago.

In the second season, the characters played by Tomasz Schuchardt, Adam Bobik, Agata Kulesza, Ireneusz Czop and Przemysław Bluszcz will return.

No other details on the second season, such as when it will be released, have been revealed.

Season one of “The Breslau Murders” is available to stream on Disney+.
