Disney+ Hosts “The Beauty” Premiere In London

Just ahead of the release of the new FX series, “The Beauty”, Disney hosted a special premiere event at London’s Odeon Luxe West End in Leicester Square, which was attended by the show’s stars including Ashton Kutcher, Evan Peters, Anthony Ramos, Jeremy Pope, Rebecca Hall and Jessica Alexander.

In FX’s “The Beauty,” the world of high fashion turns dark when international supermodels begin dying in gruesome and mysterious ways. FBI Agents “Cooper Madsen” (Evan Peters) and “Jordan Bennett” (Rebecca Hall) are sent to Paris to uncover the truth. As they delve deeper into the case, they uncover a sexually transmitted virus that transforms ordinary people into visions of physical perfection, but with terrifying consequences. Their path leads them directly into the crosshairs of “The Corporation” (Ashton Kutcher), a shadowy tech billionaire who has secretly engineered a miracle drug dubbed “The Beauty,” who will do anything to protect his trillion-dollar empire—including unleashing his lethal enforcer, “The Assassin” (Anthony Ramos). As the epidemic spreads, “Jeremy” (Jeremy Pope), a desperate outsider, is caught in the chaos, searching for purpose as the agents race across Paris, Venice, Rome, and New York to stop a threat that could alter the future of humanity. “The Beauty” is a global thriller that asks: what would you sacrifice for perfection?

The stars walked a special carpet, posing in front of a photoboard that featured a giant pair of smoking lips inspired by the series’ poster.

Guests at the premiere enjoyed an exclusive Q&A hosted by broadcaster Sarah-Jane Crawford, ahead of sitting down for a sneak preview of the first two episodes. When asked about his character Anthony Ramos said, “this might be my favourite role I’ve ever done, I’m just really grateful.” Meanwhile, Jeremy Pope revealed a surprising connection to his co-star, “me and this cat right here to my right [Anthony Ramos] went to college together! So any scene with this fool was incredible.”

When asked what viewers should expect without revealing any spoilers, Ashton Kutcher said “thank you for the hardest question…. I appreciate that!”, joking with the audience. He focused on the show’s central question – ‘what would you sacrifice for perfection?’ adding, “we live in a world where you can fly somewhere within a day to get cosmetic surgery, and you can ‘buy now, pay later’. This world [in FX’s The Beauty] isn’t that different to our world today. Tomorrow, we will be making choices about how far is too far.”
