The upcoming Disney+ Original movie “Sneakerella” has found its director. According to “The DisInsider”, the new film is going to be directed by Elizabeth Allen Rosenbaum.

She has directed several movies including “Ramona and Beezus” and “Aquamarine”, along with many TV show episodes including “Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists”, “Dead To Me”, “90210”, “Hawaii 5 O” and more.

“Sneakerella” has already begun pre-production, with filming set to start later this year in Canada. With casting currently underway by Natalie Hart and Jason La Padura. It is being written by Tamara Chestna, Mindy Stern, and George Gore II. Jane Startz is producing “Sneakerella”.

A modern twist on Cinderella set in New York City’s Sneaker culture… when a hip sneaker designer meets the daughter of a famous shoe empire, a little magical intervention makes sparks fly and a successful line of sneaker-wear history.

Disney is also working on another Cinderella movie, called “Godmothered”, which will star
Jillian Bell as the Fairy Godmother, along with Isla Fisher.
