Earlier this year, Sony held a PlayStation 5 reveal event and they announced a new Media Remote, that comes with built-in microphone to navigate movies and streaming services with ease.

There are also four unmarked buttons on the bottom of the remote, which wasn’t clear what those are used for, but it was expected that this could be similar to Roku remotes which have streaming service buttons like Disney+ and Netflix on them.

And now some images from an instruction manual for the PS5 Media Remote have been revealed by  Brazilian tech website Tecnoblog,  showing that the remote will feature dedicated buttons for Disney+, Netflix, YouTube and Spotify.

One of the interesting things about this reveal, is that Sony hasn’t announced a launch date for the PS5, other than stating holiday 2020.  Disney+ is launching in Latin America until November 17th, so its likely that the PS5 launch will be after this date.   Which is a week after Microsoft is launching its new consoles, Xbox Series X/S.

The PS5 will launch in two options: a standard model with an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive, which can be used for watching movies and a digital model without a disc drive, offering unprecedented choice at launch to gamers.

Sony and Disney haven’t yet confirmed if Disney+ will be available on the PlayStation 5, but Disney+ is already available on the PS4.
