One of the most successful original series to arrive on Disney+ and Hulu last year was “Goosebumps”, an anthology series based on R.L. Stine’s worldwide bestselling Scholastic book series.

Shortly after the season finale, it was revealed that the show had been renewed for a second season. The new season will consist of eight episodes and feature a new “Goosebumps” chapter, with a brand-new story, setting, and cast.

In the upcoming season, teenage siblings discover a threat within their home, setting off a chain of events that unravel a profound mystery. As they delve into the unknown, the duo find themselves entangled in the story of five teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994.

It has been revealed by Variety that David Schwimmer has been cast in the upcoming second season and will play the role of Anthony, a former botany professor and divorced parent of teenage twins whose world takes a tumultuous turn as he juggles the responsibilities of overseeing an ageing parent while having his kids for the summer.

David Schwimmer is best known for his role as Ross in the hit comedy series Friends. He has also starred in many other shows and films throughout his career, including “Extrapolations”, “Intelligence”, and “The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story”.

The upcoming second season will be developed by Nicholas Stoller (“The Muppets”) and Rob Letterman (“Pokémon: Detective Pikachu”), who will be executive producers, alongside showrunner Hilary Winston (“Community”), Neal H. Moritz (“Fast & Furious” franchise), Scholastic Entertainment’s Iole Lucchese (“Clifford the Big Red Dog”), Pavun Shetty (“The Boys”), Conor Welch (“Platonic”), Scholastic Entertainment’s Caitlin Friedman (“Stillwater”) and Erin O’Malley (“New Girl”).

While we wait for the upcoming second season of “Goosebumps”, you can watch the first season on Disney+ now.
