“Fair Play: The Jordan Chiles Story” Coming Soon To Disney+ & Hulu
Disney is looking to expand its documentary slate with a brand new film about the Olympian Jordan Chiles, which is being created by filmmaker Trishtan Williams, and it will be coming to Disney+ and Hulu in the fall of 2027, ahead of the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028.
“Fair Play: The Jordan Chiles Story” will offer viewers unprecedented access to the 25-year-old gymnast who faces a pivotal moment in life. Chiles helped Team USA take silver at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games before helping lead the team to gold at the 2024 Olympics in Paris. It will follow her at the gym and as she navigates life in the spotlight as a voice for a new generation of athletes.
Disney’s Andscape division, along with Campfire Studios and Select Entertainment, is creating it. It will be produced by Ross M. Dinerstein and Allyson Holloway for Campfire Studios. Anne Hazlett will also serve as an executive producer for Campfire Studios, alongside Lisa Filipelli, Amy Neben, and Alexia Maitland for Select Entertainment.
Jordan took to social media to confirm the news and said in a statement to THR about the new film:
“My journey in gymnastics has taught me a lot about resilience, perseverance, and the importance of defining success on my own terms. As I work toward LA28, I’m excited to partner with Andscape and Hulu to share more of my story, reflect on the experiences that have shaped me, and explore what it means to step into this next chapter while reclaiming my narrative.”
With the film’s director, Trishtan Williams adding:
“Jordan is so much more than an extraordinary athlete. She’s a young woman navigating immense expectations while finding the courage to define herself on her own terms. What excites me most about directing this film is the opportunity to capture Jordan in all her dimensions — her joy, vulnerability, ambition, and resilience. With unprecedented access, this doc goes beyond medals and competition to explore identity, purpose, and what it truly means to take back the pen and write your own story.”
Andscape VP and general manager Jason Aidoo also added:
“Jordan Chiles is one of the most compelling athletes of her generation, not only because of what she has accomplished in gymnastics, but because of the way she continues to define herself beyond it. This film gives us the rare opportunity to be alongside Jordan at a pivotal moment in her life and career, as she takes greater ownership of her story and what comes next. At Andscape, we want to tell stories that begin with sport but reveal something bigger about the people and culture around it.”
