Following the hugely successful reboot of the classic Disney Afternoon hit “Ducktales”, Disney is once again going back to 90s and will be bringing “Darkwing Duck” back for a new animated series on Disney+.

According to Variety, the animated series is in early development.   No writers have yet been connected to the show but will be executive produced Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, and Alex McAtee of Point Grey Pictures.    With Alex McAtee also overseeing the project.

The original 90s animated hit ran for 90 episodes, which are available now on Disney+.    The adventures of superhero Darkwing Duck, aided by his sidekick Launchpad McQuack. In his secret identity of Drake Mallard, he lives in a suburban house with his adopted daughter Gosalyn, next door to the bafflingly dim-witted Muddlefoot family.


“Darkwing Duck” is a spin-off series from “Ducktales” and has also recently made a cameo in the latest reboot series.

No Disney+ release date or official confirmation has yet been announced.

    This makes quit a lot of sense actually considering that in the latest episode of the ducktales reboot, he met gosalyn and launchpad made the decision to spend days at duck manor and nights protecting the streets with darkwing and because the current reboot of ducktales is on normal tv Disney plus is the perfect place for a spin off reboot
