Could the classic ABC series, “Moonlighting”, be coming soon to Disney+ or even a possible modern-day reboot be heading to our screens?

“Moonlighting” tells the story of what happens to model Maddie (played by Cybill Shepherd), who, after being duped and going bankrupt, is convinced by David (played by Bruce Willis) to become a partner in the detective agency. Together they solve various cases, while getting comfortable with each other.

Recently, writer/producer Glenn Gordon Caron took to social media to tease an upcoming announcement from Disney regarding “Moonlighting”, saying:

The original series debuted in 1985 and ran for five seasons.  The series hasn’t been available to stream on any platform due to problems with licensing music.   But hopefully, this problem has been sorted, and this classic 1980’s series can be made available for fans of the show and for a new generation to enjoy.
