If you’re a Lorcana player and have already seen “Moana 2” at cinemas this Thanksgiving weekend, there’s a good excuse to head back as Ravensburger has announced that they will be giving away a free promo card featuring Moana.

 The award-winning publisher of games, puzzles and toys will bring the award-winning Disney Lorcana Trading Card Game (TCG) to moviegoers in the United States this December through a partnership with Cinemark theatres in the United States. Fans who purchase tickets to see “Moana 2” between December 6th and December 15th in Cinemark theatres will receive a special preview Disney Lorcana TCG promo card. One card per ticket, available while supplies last.  

The Disney Lorcana TCG special preview promo card, Moana — Adventurer of Land and Sea, is a sneak peek of a card from a future Disney Lorcana TCG set. The promo card artwork is inspired by Moana 2 and features a silver foil treatment.

First released in August 2023, the Disney Lorcana TCG is a popular trading card game in the wondrous realm of Lorcana. Players take on the role of Illumineers and wield magic ink to summon a team of Disney characters known as glimmers, who appear in both familiar and fantastical ways. The game was designed to be easy to learn for TCG newcomers while still offering strategic depth for experienced players. Featuring hundreds of original pieces of Disney art that collectors will adore, the game is welcoming to beginners, expert TCG players and Disney fans alike. 

Roger’s Take:  It’s great to see American Lorcana players have been given this opportunity to get this card, I managed to pick up my card this weekend, and the promotion did its job, as I went to a different cinema chain than normal to get the card, as the Odeon cinema was giving it away!   This will also no doubt help boost the “Moana 2” box office even higher with repeat viewings plus hopefully get more people involved in this great game, which features characters from many of the amazing shows and films available on Disney+.
