This holiday season, Disney is celebrating with a promotional campaign called Huludays!, which will see plenty of new original films heading to Hulu and Hulu On Disney+. Plus, some timeless classics will celebrate milestones, including the 35th anniversary of “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” and the 20th anniversary of “The Polar Express.” 

Here’s the rundown:

Nutcrackers

Just as Mike (Ben Stiller) is on the heels of closing the biggest deal of his career, he’s pulled away from his bachelor life in the big city to a farm in rural Ohio in order to take care of his recently orphaned nephews. The four rowdy boys cause trouble every which way they turn. What Mike thought was going to be a quick trip turns into an unexpected adventure. As the holidays approach, he discovers the big hearts behind the boys’ mischief. This forces him to decide between his career and being the uncle his nephews need him to be.

This new original film will be released on Friday, 29th November 2024.

A Sudden Case Of Christmas

An American couple bring their 10-year-old daughter, Claire, to her grandfather Lawrence’s hotel in The Dolomites, Italy. They usually come for Christmas, but this year, it’s August. The fact is they are breaking up, and once Claire realizes there’s not going to be a family Christmas this year, she insists on everyone making it out for Christmas in August. Claire, in collusion with her grandfather, plan activities that are designed to re-unite her parents. A fun, warm, touching family comedy, all shot in the glorious Dolomites, Italy. Starring Antonella Rose, Danny DeVito, Andie MacDowell, and Wilmer Valderrama.

This new movie is coming to Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ on Friday, 13th December 2024.

Elf

One Christmas Eve a long time ago, a baby crawled into Santa’s bag of toys… Raised as an elf, Buddy (Will Ferrell) grows into an adult three times larger than the biggest elf–and realizes that he will never truly fit in at the North Pole. This holiday season, Buddy goes looking for his true place in the world–in New York City. Buddy finds his workaholic father (James Caan)–who’s on Santa’s “naughty” list, a new mother (Mary Steenburgen) and a 10-year-old brother who doesn’t believe in Santa Claus or elves. Here, now, Buddy discovers his destiny–to save Christmas for New York and the world!​

Four Christmases

Every Christmas, happily unmarried Brad and Kate escape divorced parents and exasperating relatives by getting on a plane. This year, a fog rolls in, the airport shuts down, and the couple is forced to celebrate four family Christmases on one hectic, hilarious day. Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon lead an all-star cast in a comedy brimming with good cheer and great laughs — as well as the answer to the question: Can Brad and Kate’s relationship survive Four Christmases?

The Polar Express

Late on Christmas Eve, after the town has gone to sleep, a boy boards the mysterious train that waits for him–The Polar Express. When the boy arrives at the North Pole, Santa Claus offers him any gift he desires. The boy asks only for a bell from the harness of Santa’s reindeer. But on the way home, the bell is lost. Christmas morning, the boy finds the bell under the Christmas tree, and when he shakes it, the bell makes the most beautiful sound he’s ever heard. His mother admires the bell, but she laments that it is broken … for, you see, only a true believer can hear the sound of the bell.

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation

Clark Griswold, the well-intentioned walking disaster which has dragged his family through the horrors of travelling in two previous National Lampoon Vacation films, has decided to stay home for the holidays–and the neighbourhood will never be the same.​

This classic movie is coming to Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ on Wednesday, 27th November 2024.

Fred Claus

Of the two Claus brothers, Fred (Vince Vaughn) is the troublemaker and polar opposite of his saintly sibling, Nicholas (Paul Giamatti). When Fred’s criminal ways finally land him in big trouble, Nicholas bails him out and brings him to the North Pole to work off the debt by making toys. The headaches mount for St. Nick, who must deal not only with his troublemaking brother but also with an efficiency expert who has come to evaluate Santa’s operation.

This new movie is coming to Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ on Wednesday, 27th November 2024.

Miracle On 34th Street

Six-year-old Susan Walker (Mara Wilson) is sceptical of the Christmas myth surrounding Santa Claus, a trait she perhaps learned from her mother, Dorey (Elizabeth Perkins). When tasked with hiring the Santa who will pose with kids at Macy’s, Dorey enlists a man with the curious name of Kris Kringle (Richard Attenborough), who claims to be Santa himself. His assertions are met with scoffs and threats of institutionalization, but a young lawyer, along with Susan and Dorey, comes to his defence.

This classic holiday movie is coming to Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ on Sunday 1st December 2024.
