Best New Series To Watch On Disney+ In February 2021 (UK/Ireland)
As we come into a new month, I’ve picked out some of the best series coming to Disney+ in the United Kingdom in February 2021. The biggest new release of the month is Marvel’s WandaVision, which will see new episodes dropping on Fridays throughout the month. Plus there will be a massive expansion of new shows as part of the new “Star” brand.
Check out our full list of new releases for February, which include more films and series.
Note – This list is based on the United Kingdom’s release schedule and availability in other countries may vary.
WandaVision
Marvel Studios presents “WandaVision,” a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) – two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives – begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems. The new series is directed by Matt Shakman; Jac Schaeffer is head writer.
New episodes will be arriving on Disney+ every Friday throughout February.
Marvel’s Behind the Mask
Marvel’s Behind the Mask will explore the power of identity behind the world’s most iconic Super Heroes we know and love today.
From the very inception of comic books, secret identities have been an integral part of both Super Heroes and Villains leading “normal” lives. But it’s the characters beneath that resonate within us across generations of fans. Since the advent of the Marvel Age of Comics in the early 1960s, Marvel’s writers and artists have used the notion of identities to examine the evolving concept of equal rights. These legendary Marvel creations and stories have not only reflected the world outside our window – they have become a reflection of our own identities and who we truly are.
Marvel’s Behind the Mask will feature guests from across Marvel’s 80-year legacy, including the writers and artists behind the rise of characters like Black Panther, Miles Morales, Ms. Marvel, Luke Cage, the X-Men, Captain Marvel, and many other characters in the Marvel Universe, highlighting Marvel’s impact on pop culture and media.
This Disney+ Original series will be coming on Friday 12th February.
The Muppet Show (Seasons 1 – 5)
The biggest classic show to be added to the Disney+ library this month is “The Muppet Show”. Kermit the Frog and his fellow Muppets put on a vaudeville show at their theatre, bringing in a famous celebrity to help out for each episode. … Working against him are “Statler” and “Waldorf”, the two hecklers who always were in the same balcony and Scooter’s uncle who owned the theater.
All five seasons will be arriving on Disney+ on Friday 19th February
Inside Pixar S1 (Episodes 6-10)
A documentary series of personal and cinematic stories that provide an inside look into the people, artistry, and culture of Pixar Animation Studios. The series consists of four collections with five short episodes in each collection, focusing around a central theme. The theme of this second collection is “Portraits”.
Available to stream exclusively on Disney+ from 12th February
