It’s the start of a new month and I’ve picked out some of the best series coming to Disney+ in Australia and New Zealand this month.  There are three brand new exclusive Disney+ Original series coming in March including two Marvel shows plus a sequel series to the classic 1990s film “The Mighty Ducks”.

This is in addition to lots of great new episodes of “Star Originals” including “Love, Victor”, “Solar Opposites” and “Big Sky”.

Check out our full list of new releases for March, which includes more films and series.

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier –

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, kicking off on Disney+ March 19, 2021, is a new series starring Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson aka The Falcon, and Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier. The pair, who came together in the final moments of “Avengers: Endgame,” team up on a global adventure that tests their abilities—and their patience. Directed by Kari Skogland with Malcolm Spellman serving as head writer, the six-episode series also stars Daniel Brühl as Baron Zemo, Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter, and Wyatt Russell as John Walker.

The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers – Episode 1

Nearly 30 years after first taking flight, “The Mighty Ducks” returns in a brand new chapter starring Lauren Graham and Emilio Estevez in the iconic role he originated as legendary Coach Gordon Bombay.

In the 10-episode season set in present day Minnesota, the Mighty Ducks have evolved from scrappy underdogs to an ultra-competitive, powerhouse youth hockey team. After 12-year-old Evan Morrow (Brady Noon) is unceremoniously cut from the Ducks, he and his mom, Alex (Lauren Graham), set out to build their own team of misfits to challenge the cutthroat, win-at-all-costs culture of youth sports today. With the help of Gordon Bombay, they rediscover the joys of playing just for love of the game.

The first episode of “Mighty Ducks: Game Changers” is coming to Disney+ on Friday 26th March.

Marvel’s WandaVision – Finale

Marvel Studios presents “WandaVision,” a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) – two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives – begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.

The WandaVision finale arrived today on Disney+

Grey’s Anatomy – Season 17

Recipient of the 2007 Golden Globe® Award for Best Drama Television Series and nominated for multiple Emmys®, including Outstanding Drama Series, “Grey’s Anatomy” is considered one of the great television shows of our time. The high-intensity medical drama, now in its 17th season, follows Meredith Grey and the team of doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial who are faced with life-or-death decisions on a daily basis. They seek comfort from one another, and, at times, more than just friendship. Together they discover that neither medicine nor relationships can be defined in black and white.

New episodes are dropping weekly on Disney+

Big Sky

Storyteller David E. Kelly (“Big Little Lies”) presents a series about private detectives Cassie Dewell and Cody Hoyt, who join forces with Cody’s estranged wife and ex-cop, Jenny Hoyt, to search for two sisters who have been kidnapped by a truck driver on a remote highway in Montana. When they discover that these are not the only girls who have disappeared in the area, they must race against the clock to stop the killer before another woman is taken. Based on the series of books by C.J. Box, the series stars Katheryn Winnick, Kylie Bunbury and Ryan Phillippe.

New episodes will be available every Friday throughout March.

Love, Victor

“Love, Victor” is set in the world of the groundbreaking movie, “Love, Simon,” which was inspired by Becky Albertalli’s acclaimed young adult novel, “Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda,” about a closeted gay teenager who is forced to come out after being blackmailed. The series stars Michael Cimino as Victor, who, like Simon, is on his own journey of self-discovery. Facing challenges at home, navigating the ups and downs of a new high school and exploring his sexual orientation, Victor reaches out to Simon when things become too difficult.

New episodes will be available every Friday throughout March

Helstrom

Daimon and Ana Helstrom are the son and daughter of a mysterious and powerful serial killer; the siblings have a complicated dynamic as they track down the terrorizing worst of humanity.

Solar Opposites (S1)

Love in the Time of Corona (All episodes) – Star Original

Filmed using remote technologies shot in the talents’ actual homes, this four-part, romantic dramedy follows four interwoven stories. James & Sade have spent so much time away from each other due to James’ demanding work life that it’s as if they’re only just starting to get to know each other, juggling being new parents, and beginning to grapple with whether they may be more than just a little out of sync.

All four episodes will be coming to Disney+ on March 12th.

Disney Ducktales – Season 3

Scrooge McDuck is back in this reboot of the late-’80s animated series. He gains guardianship of grandnephews Huey, Dewey and Louie when Donald Duck reluctantly takes them to McDuck Manor, the wonder of which enthralls the mischievous triplets. While living with their trillionaire relative, the boys learn long-held family secrets and unleash symbolic artifacts from Scrooge’s past. The threesome’s antics send the family on a number of adventures, which include Webby Vanderquack, the granddaughter of Scrooge’s housekeeper, Mrs. Beakley. The show’s animation style is inspired by the classic comic designs of animator Carl Barks.

The third season arrives on Disney+ on March 19th.

Arrested Development – S1-3

The Bluth family, once a prominent name in the business, loses everything after the head patriarch gets convicted for fraud. Now Michael, the only sane one in the family, must maintain peace at home.

The first three seasons will arrive on Disney+ on Friday 19th March
