In January, Disney+ in the United Kingdom and Ireland is getting a new wave of original shows like “Star Wars: The Book Of Boba Fett”, plus lots of other Star Originals including “Queens” and “The Wonder Years”, plus there are new additions to the Disney+ library.

Here’s a look at all the best series coming to Disney+ in the UK and Ireland in January:

Star Wars: The Book Of Boba Fett

The Book of Boba Fett, a thrilling Star Wars adventure, finds legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.

New episodes are being released on Disney+ every Wednesday throughout January.

 

 

 


The World According to Jeff Goldblum

Jeff Goldblum is back — and he’s as curious as ever. In this season of “The World According to Jeff Goldblum,” Jeff uncovers surprising secrets behind a whole new host of topics — including PUZZLES, BIRTHDAYS, BACKYARDS, TINY THINGS and MOTORCYCLES. Passionate fans to experts and scientists share new insights to discover how these everyday marvels have shaped the world in which we live.

The next batch of episodes from the second season will arrive on Disney+ on Wednesday 19th January 2022.


Assembled: The Making of Hawkeye

ASSEMBLED is a comprehensive series of documentary-style specials streaming on Disney+ that chronicles the creation of Marvel Studios’ thrilling new shows and theatrical releases. Journey behind-the-scenes of the Hawkeye series with stars Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld in this immersive, and in-depth examination of the latest instalment of storytelling in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

This “Hawkeye” themed episode will hit Disney+ on Wednesday 19th January 2022.


The Chi

The lives of the residents of a tough and dangerous neighbourhood in South Chicago intertwine as they have to deal with a murder in their area.

All four seasons will arrive on Disney+ in the UK & Ireland on Wednesday 12th January 2022.


Sydney to the Max

Sydney, a middle school student, and her father, Max, encounter different challenges in their daily lives, which they solve thanks to help from her grandmother Judy and their familial bond.

Episodes 11-15 from the third season of this Disney Channel show is coming to Disney+ on Wednesday 5th January 2022.


The Wonder Years

The coming-of-age story of a 12-year-old Black boy in Montgomery, Ala., in the late 1960s, as told by his adult self.

New episodes are being released every Wednesday throughout January

 

 

 


Big Sky – Season 2

Private detectives Cassie Dewell and Cody Hoyt join forces with his estranged wife and ex-cop, Jenny Hoyt, to search for two sisters who have been kidnapped by a truck driver on a remote highway in Montana. But when they discover that these are not the only girls who have disappeared in the area, they must race against the clock to stop the killer before another woman is taken.

New episodes are being released every Wednesday in January.

 

 

 


High Fidelity

Rob, a record-store owner in the rapidly gentrified Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn, revisits past relationships through music and pop culture while trying to get over her one true love.

This entire series is coming to Disney+ on Wednesday 26th January 2022

 

 

 


Better Things

Sam Fox, a divorced Hollywood actress, juggles between raising her three daughters and focusing on her professional commitments.

Seasons 1 to 4 are coming to Disney+ on Wednesday 12th January 2022


Talespin

Baloo, King Louie and Shere Kahn operate businesses in Cape Suzette.

The first season of “Talespin” is coming to Disney+ on Wednesday 19th January 2022.


Marvel’s Hit-Monkey

A vengeful Japanese snow monkey and the ghost of an American assassin cut down Tokyo’s underworld.

This Star Original was supposed to be released in November, but now the entire season will drop on Wednesday 26th January 2022.

 

 

 


The Owl House

When a human girl stumbles upon a portal to another world, she befriends a rebellious witch and a warrior. She soon discovers her dream of becoming a witch and finds herself welcome in a new family.

The first ten episodes of the second season are coming to Disney+ on Wednesday 26th January 2022.


Incredibly Small World

This programme looks to shine a light on the lives led by people with dwarfism and how the world they live in differs from that of taller people. From hidden communities to memorable individuals, `Incredibly Small World’ shows that big personalities can come in small packages. From Colombian dwarfs determined to prove they can compete in bull fighting to a theme park populated by dwarfs, the show highlights dwarfs trying to prove they can thrive in a `normal’ world despite their small stature. The programme also highlights celebrities with the disease, including comedian Brad Williams and actor Verne Troyer.

Season one of this National Geographic series will be arriving on Disney+ on Wednesday 19th January 2022.


Breakthrough

Oscar winners Ron Howard and Brian Grazer put their storytelling acumen to work as executive producers of “Breakthrough,” a series of hourlong documentaries highlighting the stories, people, and technology behind the world’s most cutting-edge scientific innovations. After considering more than 100 scientific topics for the series, the pair — helped by National Geographic archives and research, along with the scientific resources of partner GE — selected biotechnology, neuroscience, anti-aging technology, alternative energy, water conservation, and global pandemics

Seasons one and two are coming to Disney+ on Wednesday 5th January 2022


The Big Leap

A modern tale about second chances and chasing one’s dreams. “The Big Leap” revolves around a group of diverse, down-on-their-luck characters attempting to change their lives by participating in a potentially life-ruining reality dance show that builds to a live production of “Swan Lake.”

New episodes are being released on Disney+ every Wednesday.

 

 

 


Queens

Four women in their 40s reunite for a chance to recapture their fame and regain the swagger they had as legends in the 1990s hip-hop world.

The first two episodes will be coming to Disney+ in the UK & Ireland on Wednesday 19th January 2022, with new episodes dropping weekly afterwards.


Mixed-ish

Rainbow Johnson recounts her experience growing up in a mixed-race family in the ’80s and the constant dilemmas she and the family members had to face over whether to assimilate or stay true to themselves. Bow’s parents, Paul and Alicia, decide to move from a hippie commune to the suburbs to better provide for their family. As her parents struggle with the challenges of their new life, Bow and her siblings navigate a mainstream school in which they’re perceived as neither black nor white. The family’s experiences illuminate the challenges of finding one’s own identity when the rest of the world can’t decide where you belong.

The final episodes are dropping onto Disney+ in January every Wednesday and the second season will also be dropped onto Disney+ at once on Wednesday 19th January 2022.


Insania

“Insânia” is a new original series produced for Star+ in Latin America and follows the story of Paula, a scientific police officer who is admitted to a mysterious psychiatric clinic after a family tragedy. There, her mind wanders along dark and dubious paths, reaching the brink of insanity as she investigates the real reason for her hospitalization unraveling a terrifying conspiracy.

The first season of this Star Original will arrive in the UK & Ireland on 26th January 2022.
