This coming April, Disney+ and Hulu will offer plenty of new original programming, including a brand new live-action series from Marvel and a brand new Star Wars series, plus the return of “Doctor Who” and much more.

Here’s the rundown of new originals coming to Disney+ and Hulu in April:


Andor: A Star Wars Story – Season 2

The story of Rebel spy Cassian Andor’s formative years of the Rebellion and his difficult missions for the cause. Season 2 follows Cassian as he evolves into a leader for the emerging Rebel Alliance and becomes fueled by a higher purpose in the fight for freedom against the Empire.

Three new episodes will be released each week on Disney+ around the world on Tuesday, 22nd April 2025 at 6pm PT/9pm ET.

 


Doctor Who – Season 2

The Doctor meets Belinda Chandra and begins an epic quest to get her back to Earth. But a mysterious force is stopping their return and the time-traveling TARDIS team must face great dangers, bigger enemies and wider terrors than ever before.

Episode drops at 2:00 a.m. PDT / 3:00 a.m. EDT on Disney+ around the world, except for in the UK, where it’s available on the BBC iPlayer.


Daredevil: Born Again

In Marvel Television’s “Daredevil: Born Again,” Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), a blind lawyer with heightened abilities is fighting for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) pursues his own political endeavors in New York. When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course.

New episodes are being released on Tuesday evenings at 6pm PT/9pm ET each week.


Pets

“Pets” is a documentary that explores the extraordinary relationship that exists between animals and their people all around the world. Highlighting dogs, cats, pigs, goats and even birds of prey, “Pets” takes us on a hilarious and poignant journey that celebrates love, loss, and licks along the way.

This new documentary will be released on Disney+ on Friday, 11th April 2025.


Light & Magic – Season 2

An immersive series that chronicles the untold history of world-renowned Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), the special visual effects, animation and virtual production division of Lucasfilm.

All three episodes will be released on Disney+ on Friday, 18th April 2025.


Secrets Of The Penguins

From the Emperor Penguins’ revelatory bonds of friendship to the gritty resolve of Gentoos and Rockhoppers, and the astonishing ingenuity of the migrant penguins that reached deserts and far beyond, their incredible traditions and societies echo ours in ways we never dreamt possible – until now. For over two years, BAFTA and Emmy Award-winning wildlife cinematographer Bertie Gregory collaborates with world leading scientists, using cutting-edge camera technology and unique access to capture three world-first episodes that resonate with our lives like never before.

This new documentary will be released on Disney+ in time for Earth Day on Monday, 21st April 2025.


David Blaine: Do No Attempt –

This thrilling six-part series that follows world-renowned magician and endurance artist David Blaine exploring the world through the lens of magic. David takes viewers on a fascinating cultural exchange and a jaw-dropping journey through extraordinary cultures, where he meets with performers and masters — kindred spirits who inspire and share with him exceptional skills (and secrets) — in Brazil, Southeast Asia, India, the Arctic Circle, South Africa and Japan.

The final two episodes will be released on Monday, 7th April 2025

Dying for Sex

Inspired by the story of Molly Kochan, originally shared on a Wondery podcast created with her best friend, Nikki Boyer. After Molly (Michelle Williams) receives a diagnosis of Stage IV metastatic breast cancer, she decides to leave her husband, Steve (Jay Duplass) and begins to explore the full breadth and complexity of her sexual desires for the first time in her life.

This new FX series will be released on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ internationally on Friday, 4th April 2025


Good American Family

Told from multiple points of view, as a means to explore issues of perspective, bias, and trauma, this compelling drama is inspired by the disturbing stories surrounding a Midwestern couple who adopts a girl with a rare form of dwarfism. But as they begin to raise her alongside their three biological children, mystery emerges around her age and background, and they slowly start to suspect she may not be who she says she is. As they defend their family from the daughter they’ve grown to believe is a threat, she fights her own battle to confront her past and what her future holds, in a showdown that ultimately plays out in the tabloids and the courtroom.

A new episode will be released on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ in many countries including Canada and Australia each week. Note: The entire series will be released on Disney+ in the UK and Europe on May 7th 2025.


Jessica Kirson: I’m The Man

“Jessica Kirson: I’m the Man” is a fast-paced and sharp-tongued special that showcases Kirson’s searing perspective on everything from TikTok girls to her bizarre time at a trauma center.

This new comedy special will be released on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ internationally on Friday, 25th April 2025


The Stolen Girl

A seemingly ordinary decision turns the world of Elisa, mum to two young kids, upside down in this tense thriller. When her 9-year-old daughter Lucia excitedly asks to go on an overnight playdate with her new best friend Josie, Elisa agrees. After meeting Josie’s mother, Rebecca, she’s put at ease by her charming nature and their impressive house. But when she says goodnight to her daughter, she has no idea that she is about to be thrust into every parent’s worst nightmare.

The next day, when Elisa goes to pick up Lucia, she discovers that the beautiful house was a holiday rental. Lucia is missing. Rebecca and Josie have vanished. What started out as her daughter’s first sleepover has turned into an abduction.

As an urgent manhunt unfolds across Europe, Elisa and her husband Fred find themselves the object of police and public scrutiny. Elisa’s perfect family begins to unravel under the pressure, and long-buried secrets come to light. Rebecca took Lucia for a reason. And as viewers learn more about the tangled lives of these women, the question of whether Rebecca was justified in kidnapping the little girl arises – and if she might be better off staying hidden.

This new series will be released on Disney+ internationally on Wednesday, 16th April 2025, with the series being released weekly on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ from Thursday, 17th April 2025,


The Kardashians: Season 6

The Kardashian-Jenners return with a year full of challenges, milestones, and new adventures. With uncertain futures and their past returning to haunt them, Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, Kendall, Kylie, and Kris will have to rely on each other as they navigate their roles as moms and businesswomen, to overcome the obstacles that come with their increasingly complicated lives.

The season finale will be released on April 3rd 2025.
