The BBC has announced some new casting details on the upcoming next season of the classic British sci-fi series, “Doctor Who”, which returns in November 2023 with three special episodes to coincide with the 60th anniversary with David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor. The series will be released on the BBC in the United Kingdom and will be released exclusively on Disney+ around the world.

Anita Dobson and Michelle Greenidge will be starring in the next series of Doctor Who. Anita Dobson has previously starred in the popular British series, “Eastenders” and Michelle Greenidge has previously starred in the hit Netflix series, “After Life”.

It was also recently revealed that Jemma Redgrave will also be returning as Kate Lethbridge-Stewart, and UNIT, the long-running organisation set on defending the Earth, returns in the next series of Doctor Who. And that Aneurin Barnard also had joined the cast as the mysterious Roger ap Gwilliam. Also returning for the new season is Catherine Tate, who will be returning as Donna. With Yasmin Finney (Heartstopper) playing Rose, who will somehow be involved. And there’s also a mysterious new character played by Neil Patrick Harris. Jacqueline King will also be reprising her role as Donna’s mother Sylvia, and Karl Collins as Donna’s long suffering husband, Shaun. Plus, Ruth Madeley joins the cast as Shirley Anne Bingham.

The Fifteenth Doctor, played by Ncuti Gatwa, will then take control of the TARDIS, with his first episode airing over the festive period in 2023. The show will be produced in Wales by Bad Wolf with BBC Studios Production.
