Nielsen has announced its top 10 streaming charts for the United States from May 5th, 2025, to May 11th 2025. There are four different charts: Top 10 Originals, Acquired Shows, Movies, and a combined total chart.

With the release of the third batch of new episodes of the second season of “Andor: A Star Wars Story”, the show continues to move up both the Originals and Overall charts.   It also highlights why the three-episode binge drop format helps with the Nielsen chart, especially with Netflix’s binge drops picking up huge numbers of minutes viewed.   “Andor” would also have benefited from its longer episodes and the fact that a first season is already available to viewers, all of which helped boost its overall viewership count.

The final season of “The Handmaids Tale” continues to perform well, making the originals chart, while “Moana 2” also continues to pull in decent viewership numbers on Disney+, though it only just made the top ten films list.  

Disney continues to dominate the acquired and overall charts, with Disney’s biggest hits “Grey’s Anatomy”, “The Rookie”, “Bluey”, “Criminal Minds” and “Family Guy”, making up the majority of these charts for Hulu and Hulu On Disney+, with “Grey’s Anatomy” topping the acquired chart once again.   “Moana 2” also continued to pull in audiences in the movie category.
