Disney’s ABC is going to be broadcasting the classic film, “Enchanted”, on the eve of the release of its sequel, “Disenchanted”, on Disney+, on Thursday, 17th November 2022, at (8:00-10:01 p.m. EST).

“Enchanted,” tells the story of a princess-to-be, Giselle, who’s life is a fairy tale — until she’s banished from the animated land of Andalasia and thrust into the very unmagical, live-action world of modern-day Manhattan. When a cynical, no-nonsense divorce lawyer comes to her aid, little does he realize that this joyful, wide-eyed innocent is about to enchant him.

This will be the first time the film has aired on broadcast TV in the US.

In the new film, which is set more than 10 years after Giselle (Amy Adams) and Robert (Patrick Dempsey) wed, but Giselle has grown disillusioned with life in the city, so they move their growing family to the sleepy suburban community of Monroeville in search of a more fairy tale life. Unfortunately, it isn’t the quick fix she had hoped for. Suburbia has a whole new set of rules and a local queen bee, Malvina Monroe (Maya Rudolph), who makes Giselle feel more out of place than ever. Frustrated that her happily ever after hasn’t been so easy to find, she turns to the magic of Andalasia for help, accidentally transforming the entire town into a real-life fairy tale and placing her family’s future happiness in jeopardy. Now, Giselle is in a race against time to reverse the spell and determine what happily ever after truly means to her and her family.

“Disenchanted” is being released on Disney+ on Friday, 18th November 2022.

The Wonderful World of Disney presents “Enchanted,” on Thursday, 17th November 2022 (8:00-10:01 p.m. EST), on ABC and if you can’t wait, “Enchanted” is also available to stream now on Disney+.
