During a special panel presentation at the San Diego Comic, it was revealed by “Abbott Elementary” star Quinta Brunson hinted that there would be more episodes in the second season, which was then confirmed by Deadline.

Disney’s ABC has revealed that its breakout comedy series, “Abbott Elementary” has been given a rare full-season 22-episode order for its second season.

This workplace comedy follows a group of dedicated, passionate teachers — and a slightly tone-deaf principal —as they navigate the Philadelphia public school system. Despite the odds stacked against them, they are determined to help their students succeed in life, and though these incredible public servants may be outnumbered and underfunded, they love what they do — even if they don’t love the school district’s less-than-stellar attitude toward educating children.

The series originally debuted last Fall and became ABC’s number one comedy for adults, resulting in a straight-out full season pickup. And most recently, the series picked up seven nominations at the Emmys.

“Abbott Elementary” is available to stream now on Hulu in the United States and the series is also released as a Star Original on Disney+ internationally. The second season will be debuting on ABC on its new night, from Wednesday 21st September 2022 (9:00-9:31 p.m. EDT).

Are you looking forward to the return of “Abbott Elementary”?
