FX Developing New “Hopeless” Pilot
Over the years, FX has had a successful partnership with Rob Mac with “Welcome To Wrexham”, “Necaxa”, and “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”, all of which have been popular shows on Hulu and Disney+ around the world.
20th Television is now working on a pilot for a comedy called “Hopeless”, which follows two people who fall into a chaotic romance when one of them uses the other’s phone number as the fake she gives out at bars.
According to Deadline, it’s being developed by Jeff Chan and Rob Mac, who will be executive producers with Jackie Cohn and Nick Frenkel from 3 Arts.

Jeff Chan is a writer and director, who has recently worked on “Plus One”, “The Summer I Turned Pretty” and “XO, Kitty”. Rob is also working with FX on an upcoming “Far Cry” series.
No other details on this upcoming project have been revealed, but as with any pilot, it should be viewed as a trial that might not necessarily make it to our screens or go through some creative changes.
