Disney+ “A Lifetime Of Great Stories” Campaign Launches Across EMEA

Disney has kicked off its new festive campaign for Disney+ in the UK and across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, called ‘A lifetime of great stories’, which is rooted in Disney’s 100-year heritage of storytelling, while also celebrating the modern, award-winning stories across a brilliant slate of movies, TV shows and exclusive originals available on Disney+. It embodies the emotional journey that pivotal stories play in our lives, and the lifelong connection we create with the worlds and characters

At the heart of the campaign is a 60” cinematic film, directed by Frédéric Planchon through production company Academy Films, supported by VCCP’s content studio Girl&Bear. The film tells the story of a little girl who first discovers her love for “Mickey Mouse at Christmas”. We see her grow up – through childhood, adolescence and adulthood, seeing key moments of her life with Disney+ stories by her side at every turn. From watching “Home Alone” as a child to the comforting “Modern Family” series, keeping her company at university, to watching FX’s “The Bear” while commuting to work as an adult. While her circumstances and tastes evolves over time, the magic stays the same: and Mickey Mouse is never far away. Eventually, we come full circle: now a mother herself; she watches as her own daughter falls under the same spell of Mickey and friends years later, proving that great stories stay with us for a lifetime and are passed down to generations.

We hope it reminds our customers to revel in the joy of their favourite stories and to seek out the new ones that will become intertwined with their own life stories.”

The campaign, led by Sophie Long, Director of Brand at Disney+, will run across EMEA, spanning TV, cinema, social, digital video, out-of-home and brand activations. Media planning and buying is led by Publicis Imagine.
