One of the many projects currently in development/pre-production by Marvel Studios is a new show for Disney+ about “Wonder Man”, who, after an arrest, businessman Simon Williams, gets turned into a superhuman by a terrorist, Baron Zemo, who is played by Daniel Brühl and was previously introduced in “Captain America: Civil War” and returned in the Disney+ series, “The Falcon And The Winter Soldier”.

Officially, Disney nor Marvel haven’t yet confirmed they are making this new show for Disney+, but according to Production Weekly and the Production List, filming is due to begin in Atlanta, Georgia, on April 3rd 2023.

The new series is going to be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who previously directed, “Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings” and will be directing the upcoming “Avengers: Kang Dynasty” film.

Tara Duncan, Kevin Feige and Asher Goldstein are listed as producers on the new Disney+ show, which is being written by Madeline Walter, Paul Bradford Welsh and Andrew Guest.

With filming not starting until April and expected to finish in August, with post-production, it’s likely not to hit Disney+ until late 2024, possibly even 2025.  Especially as Marvel Studios is believed to be cutting down how many releases it has each year, to help with production issues and reduce viewer burnout.

Hopefully, Disney confirm details on this new “Wonder Man” series soon!  Are you looking forward to watching it?
