Following the news that the “9-1-1” spin-off series “9-1-1: Lonestar” was coming to a close after five seasons, there have been lots of reports of Ryan Murphy working on another season.

Today, it’s been confirmed that ABC has given a straight-to-series order to a new spin-off series set in Nashville.

This new series has been written and executive-produced by the franchise’s co-creators, Ryan Murphy & Tim Minear.  Also working on the new show will be Rashad Raisani, who previously was the showrunner on “9-1-1: Lonestar”.

The show will be created by 20th Television in association with Ryan Murphy Television and executive produced by Brad Falchuk, co-creator of the first two “9-1-1” series with Murphy and Minear, and “9-1-1” star Angela Bassett, who also executive produced “Lone Star.”

No other details on “9-1-1: Nashville” have been announced yet, such as who will star in the series or if any actors from the other shows will be jumping to the spin-off series.

“9-1-1: Nashville” will premiere during the 2025-26 season on ABC, with new episodes dropping the next day on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+. As with other “9-1-1” shows, expect to see it released internationally on Disney+ as a Star original.

Roger’s Take: With the end of “9-1-1: Lonestar” and the main “9-1-1” show being a huge success after moving from FOX to ABC, it makes total sense for Disney to focus more on building out this successful franchise that keeps on delivering audiences what they want from an emergency service show.
