“Tracker” Renewed For A Third Season
One of the most popular new shows of recent years is “Tracker”, which is based on the bestselling novel The Never Game by Jeffery Deaver.
“Tracker” stars Justin Hartley as Colter Shaw, a lone-wolf survivalist who roams the country as a reward seeker, using his expert tracking skills to help private citizens and law enforcement solve all manner of mysteries while contending with his own fractured family. Supported by lawyer Reenie Green, his business handler Velma Bruin and tech expert Bobby Exley, Colter will stop at nothing to get the job done.
It’s been announced by CBS that it’s renewed “Tracker” for a third season following its success in the ratings, with the second season viewership up 4% on the first season, to 18 million multi-platform viewers.
“Tracker” is executive produced by Justin Hartley, Ken Olin, Elwood Reid and Ben Winters. The show is a production of Disney’s 20th Television.
The show airs on CBS and Paramount+ in the United States; however, internationally, the show is released as a Star Original on Disney+ in many countries, including the UK, Canada and Australia.
Roger’s Take: “Tracker” has been a big hit for CBS and 20th Television, pulling in millions of viewers, who want something fresh but also like a more traditional linear channel. I’ve been enjoying the show and can’t wait to see more of “Tracker” arrive, likely later this year.
