20th Television Developing New Legal Drama “The Advocate”
20th Television is developing a brand new legal drama for ABC called “The Advocate”, which is being created by Tawnya Bhattacharya and Ali Laventhol, who were the writers and co-executive producers of Netflix’s “My Life With the Walter Boys” and Peacock’s “Bel-Air”.
“The Advocate” is a character-driven legal procedural centred around a brilliant, ruthless attorney who abruptly walks away from her high-powered job to open a small firm after a traumatic brain injury radically alters her personality.
According to Deadline, the new show will be executive-produced by Tawnya Bhattacharya and Ali Laventhol, along with Isaac Aptaker, Elizabeth Berger, and Scott Morgan, through their production banner, The Walk-Up Company. Aptaker and Berger were behind “How I Met Your Father and are also working on the upcoming Hulu Original series, “Count My Lies”.
No other details on this upcoming legal drama have been revealed, such as who will star in the show and when it will be released on ABC and Disney+.
