“20/20: You Left Me For Dead” Coming Soon To ABC, Hulu & Hulu On Disney+
Disney has announced details on the upcoming episode of “20/20”, which is called “You Left Me For Dead” and tells the harrowing tale of horror and homicide near Bozeman, Montana, when an intruder enters the home of three women and shoots two at close range, leaving one dead and the other barely clinging to life. Police quickly make an arrest but then release the person. Who could have committed this heinous crime?
When police receive a 911 call that there has been a shooting, they rush to the scene and find two young women: Lauren DeWise, shot to death, and her roommate Ashley Van Hemert, barely clinging to life. As police continue to investigate, an interrogation interview results in an eyewitness revelation by a teenager tormented between loyalty and fear, who holds the answers for police to finally solve this case.
ABC News correspondent John Quiñones traveled to Bozeman, where he met with the law enforcement officials who worked this case and visited the crime scene and key locations that were vital to the investigation. He also sat down for an interview with Van Hemert, who shared what she remembers about that night and what her life is like today. “20/20” shares heart-stopping police body camera video of the moment officers arrived on the scene of the shooting and the interrogation interview that helped investigators bring the killer to justice.
