Fans of Zendaya’s Disney Channel Original Movie, “Zapped” are unfortunately no longer able to watch the film on Disney+ in the United States, as the movie has been removed.

The film tells the story of Zoey, who, when her mom remarries, finds herself living in a messy, chaotic house with her loud stepdad and three out-of-control step-brothers. After a freak accident with her smartphone, Zoey discovers that she has a magical app that can control the boys around her. Thrilled at the chance to restore order to her world, Zoey begins commanding the boys in her life to behave better, but she soon learns that when you don’t allow boys to be boys, you open a whole new can of worms.

It’s unclear why “Zapped” has been removed, however it is available to stream now on Amazon Prime Video and Peacock. The movie is still available on Disney+ in many other countries, but it’s one of the few Disney movies that are also available in some countries on other platforms, such as on Tubi in the UK.

The movie was originally released on the Disney Channel in the summer of 2014. However, it was actually produced by Off-Leash Teleproduction and distributed by Muse Distribution International and MarVista Entertainment. While the movie does have the Disney logo on it, it’s only been licensed to Disney, which means the movie can also be licensed to other platforms.

It’s unclear if “Zapped” will return to Disney+ in the United States and unfortunately, Disney doesn’t inform subscribers in advance whenever a removal is about to happen on Disney+.
