Zack Morris & Isa Briones Join “Goosebump” Disney+ Series
Sony Pictures Television Studios is currently developing a new series for Disney+ based on R.L. Stine’s “Goosebumps” books, which follows a group of five high schoolers who unleash supernatural forces upon their town and must all work together – thanks to and in spite of their friendships, rivalries, and pasts with each other – in order to save it, learning much about their own parents’ teenage secrets in the process.
Recently it was revealed that Justin Long, along with Ana Yi Puig, Miles McKenna, and Will Price.
According to Variety, Zack Morris and Isa Briones have joined the cast as series regulars.
Zack Morris will play the role of Isaiah, described as “a popular star football player whose financial struggles at home, has him and his family banking on his athleticism to secure him a full ride to college.” Zach has previously starred in “EastEnders,” “The Fades,” and “One Night.”
Isa Briones will play Jane, who “typically has her head in a book, causing her classmates to think she is a snob but she is just laser focused on her writing and creating a life that is interesting enough for a memoir.” Isa has previously starred in “Star Trek: Picard” and the FX series, “The Assassination of Gianni Versace.”
This new series has been in development since April 2020 and has a 10-episode order for Disney+. It is being written by Nick Stoller and Rob Letterman, who are also executive producers on the show. Rob Letterman will also direct the first episode. He has previously directed the 2015 “Goosebumps” film, which was also produced by Neal H. Moritz, who is also an executive producer on the series, along with Pavun Shetty of Original Film, Conor Welch of Stoller Global Solutions, and Iole Lucchese and Caitlin Friedman of Scholastic Entertainment are also executive producing the show.
