Roger’s POV”. Disney+ is slowly building up its sports programming, with special animated versions of NFL and NHL games. This will be the first time live sports has been broadcast live on Disney+. With the launch of the ESPN hub later this year, we will start to see much more sports to compete with other platforms like Peacock, Paramount+, and Netflix.   Plus this broadcast will also showcase the WNBA to a larger audience.

The launch of these live games will also be part of Disney’s plan to get audiences used to the idea that Disney+ is about much more than Disney shows and films, especially following the launch of Hulu On Disney+.
