When Is “The Roses” Coming To Hulu & Disney+?

Searchlight Pictures’ next new movie release is “The Roses”, which is a reimagining of the 1989 classic film The War of the Roses, based on the novel by Warren Adler.

The film tells the story of a picture-perfect couple, Ivy and Theo, whose life seems easy, with successful careers, a loving marriage, and great kids. But beneath the façade of their supposed ideal life, a storm is brewing – as Theo’s career nosedives while Ivy’s own ambitions take off, a tinderbox of fierce competition and hidden resentment ignites.

This new original movie stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Olivia Colman, Andy Samberg, Allison Janney, Belinda Bromilow, Sunita Mani, Ncuti Gatwa, Jamie Demetriou, Zoë Chao, and Kate McKinnon.

When Is “The Roses” Released?

“The Roses” is being released exclusively in cinemas in the United States, Australia and Canada on August 29th 2025. It’ll arrive a few days later in the UK on September 1st 2025.

When Will “The Roses” Be On Disney+ & Hulu?

Currently, no official Hulu or Disney+ release date has yet been announced. As with other Searchlight releases, we should expect to see “The Roses” released on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States and on Disney+ internationally.

Generally, Disney keeps movies in cinemas for much longer than most other studios, usually taking about 100 days from a theatrical release to a streaming release on Hulu and Disney+. The most recent release, “A Complete Unknown” took 107 days to go from cinemas to Hulu/Disney+, and “A Real Pain” took about 69 days.

Based on previous Searchlight releases, I estimate “The Roses” will arrive on Hulu and Disney+ in early December 2025.

What Time Will “The Roses” Be Released On Hulu?
