This winter, Searchlight Pictures is delivering a new black comedy film called “Nightbitch”, which stars Amy Adams as a woman who pauses her career to be a stay-at-home mom, but soon her new domesticity takes a surreal turn, as she sometimes transforms into a dog.

The film is based on the 2021 novel by Rachel Yoder and stars Scoot McNairy, Arleigh Snowden, Emmett Snowden, Mary Holland, Ella Thomas, Archana Rajan, and Jessica Harper.

When Is “Nightbitch” Released?

“Nightbitch” is being released exclusively in cinemas in many countries, including the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, on December 6th 2024.

When Will “Nightbitch” Be On Disney+ and Hulu?

Currently, no official Hulu or Disney+ release date has yet been announced.

Originally, Disney acquired the film to be released on its streaming services, Hulu and Disney+, but as part of its shift in strategy, it will be released theatrically first. 

As with other recent releases, once the film has finished its theatrical release, it will be available on Disney’s streaming services.  Due to its R rating, it will be released on Hulu and Hulu On Disney+ in the United States, while it will be released on Disney+ internationally.

Disney treats every theatrical to streaming release on a title-by-title basis, depending on how well it does at the box office.   Generally, Disney waits around three months before releasing new films on Hulu and Disney+, but with Searchlight Pictures movies, sometimes this can be reduced to just a couple of months. So, I would expect “Nightbitch” to arrive on Hulu and Disney+ by February 2025.

What Time Will “Nightbitch” Be Released On Disney+ and Hulu?

Disney+ updates daily at the following times:

• Pacific Time: 00:00 AM / Midnight
• Eastern Time: 03:00 AM
• UK: 08:00 AM
• Sydney, Australia – 19:00 PM

Sometimes, films can arrive a few minutes later as the servers update. The Disney+ front page usually updates about an hour later.

Hulu updates at midnight each day.
