When Will “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” Be On Disney+?

Currently, no official Disney+ release date has yet been announced for “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”.

While Disney has sped up the amount of time it takes for films to be released in cinemas before arriving on Disney+, it is still taking each film’s release on a case-by-case basis, depending on how well the film is doing at the box office. The more successful the film is at the box office, the longer the release to Disney+ will take.

If we take a look at the most recent Marvel movie releases to compare:

  • “Thor: Love & Thunder” took 64 days from its theatrical release to arrive on Disney+ on Disney+ Day 2022.
  • “Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness” took 47 days from its theatrical release to Disney+
  • “Eternals” took 68 days from its theatrical release to Disney+
  • “Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings” took 70 days to be released on Disney+.  This release also tied in with Disney+ Day 2021.

If “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” follows a similar pattern, the film could arrive on Disney+ between Christmas and New Year’s Day, should Disney go with a 45-day theatrical window.  However, should Disney decide to hold the film a little longer, i.e. 70 days, mid-January 2023 is a likely release window.

Once Disney officially announces a release date for “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”, this page will be updated.

Is “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” Coming To Disney+ Premier Access?

Disney has confirmed that following the release of “Jungle Cruise”, it won’t be using Disney+ Premier Access, instead offering selected movies exclusively in cinemas first.
