It’s Friday and time for some new content to enjoy for Disney+ subscribers in Canada today, including a brand new original film based on the classic fairytale, “Cinderella”.

Here’s the rundown:

Sneakerella

El, an aspiring sneaker designer from Queens, works as a stock boy in a shoe store and hides his artistic talent. Sparks fly after a chance encounter with Kira King, the daughter of sneaker royalty and a Manhattan Princess Charming of sorts. With a nudge from his best friend and a touch of magic, El finds the courage to lace up and dream big.

The Blue Max

Lt. Bruno Stachel (George Peppard), a brash German World War I fighter pilot, is driven to shoot down 20 enemy planes, thus garnering him the Blue Max, a coveted medal. His superior, Count von Klugermann (James Mason), is aware that Bruno will stop at nothing to receive the honor, and admires his tenacity. The count’s nephew, Willi (Jeremy Kemp), is Bruno’s main competition for the prize, but Bruno is determined to eliminate his adversary and secure the honor for himself.

Taps

Timothy Hutton, Sean Penn and Tom Cruise join the legendary George C. Scott in this tense, compelling drama. A cadet major (Hutton) leads his fellow military students in an armed revolt against authorities in order to save their school from being turned into a condominium complex. But when an unexpected accident leads to the school’s demise, military discipline goes haywire, with tragic results.
