Following the premiere of the new animated series, “Kiff”, on the Disney Channel in the US on Friday evening, Disney has released the first six episodes of the show on Disney+, earlier than advertised.

From creators and executive producers Lucy Heavens and Nic Smal, the series follows Kiff and Barry as they navigate school, relationships and their often-eccentric community in Table Town, a world where animals and magical oddballs tackle day-to-day life together.

Inspired by the people and places Heavens and Smal experienced when they were growing up in Cape Town, South Africa, each half-hour episode, comprised of two 11-minute stories, will include a new original song. In addition to their creative roles, Heavens and Smal also voice characters in the series: Heavens as Kiff’s drama teacher, Helen, and Smal as the principal of Table Town School, Principal Secretary.

The series stars Kimiko Glenn, H Michael Croner, Deedee Magno Hall, Eric Bauza, Eugene Cordero, Gary Anthony Williams, James Monroe Iglehart, Josh Johnson, Kate Flannery, Katie Crown, Kent Osborne, Lauren Ash, Lucy Heavens, Mary Mack, Nic Smal, Nichole Sakura, Rachel House, Rhys Darby, Steve Little, Tom Kenny, and Vella Lovell.

The first six episodes have been previously been announced to be arriving on Disney+ in the United States on Wednesday, 15th March 2023, but you don’t have to wait, since they are all available now (hopefully, they don’t end up removing them due to the mistake!).

Lately, Disney has been moving over to a different release strategy for its content from the Disney Branded TV division, with episodes and films premiering on the Disney Channel and then being made available the next day on Disney+, often in batches, so Disney+ ends up being a few weeks ahead of the linear network.

Disney has also released the first episode online for everyone to enjoy on YouTube!

Are you going to be checking out “Kiff” on Disney+ this weekend?
