It’s Monday and time to take a look at what’s coming to Disney+ in the week ahead for Friday July 24th.  This weeks biggest new release is the National Geographic series, “Rogue Trip”, while the US gets “Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man Tell No Tales” as part of its “Summer Movie Nights” promotion.

Friday 24th July

Rogue Trip (Global)

Rogue Trip is a travel guide to all the places the average tourist is least likely to venture – the roguish nations, territories and regions often misunderstood and frequently overlooked, but each possessing a unique power to surprise, amaze and inspire. Led by ABC News correspondent Bob Woodruff and his 28-year-old son, Mack Woodruff, the two will take viewers on a globe-trotting adventure that will expose the grit and glamour of travel. They’ll share inside jokes, dirty laundry and cramped hotel rooms as Bob teaches his son about the hidden places he loves most. Expect the unexpected in this father-son guide to the beautiful, breathtaking and often hopeful experiences to be had on the edge of chaos.


Disney Family Sundays – “The Jungle Book: Finger Puppet” (Global)

The Ruvalcaba family joins Amber to learn the bare necessities of finger puppet craftsmanship in this episode inspired by the characters from Disney’s “The Jungle Book.”


One Day at Disney – “Chris Cristi: Helicopter Reporter” (Global)

KABC – TV LA’s Chris Cristi covers breaking news from 1,500 feet aboard his news chopper.  As a Helicopter Reporter, Cristi delivers up-to-the-minute reports on news events, both big and small, keeping Los Angeles apprised of the latest local stories.  A self-proclaimed news nerd since age 9, Chris is fulfilling his lifelong dream of reporting the news every day.


Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man Tell No Tales (US)

Thrust into an all-new adventure, a down-on-his-luck Capt. Jack Sparrow feels the winds of ill-fortune blowing even more strongly when deadly ghost sailors led by his old nemesis, the evil Capt. Salazar, escape from the Devil’s Triangle. Jack’s only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, but to find it, he must forge an uneasy alliance with a brilliant and beautiful astronomer and a headstrong young man in the British navy.


Wild Congo (S1) (US/Canada/Australia/New Zealand/UK/Ireland)

The ultimate series about Africa’s most mysterious, dangerous and biggest river – the second biggest on Earth. The blood vessel of Africa’s dark heart with Forest Elephants, Lowland Gorillas and never filmed underwater beasts.


Wild Sri Lanka (S1) (US/Canada/Australia/New Zealand/UK/Ireland)

For centuries, Sri Lanka and its hidden treasures have seduced travellers from around the globe. The plains of Sri Lanka offer a wildlife spectacle to rival Africa’s Serengeti.


Marvel Hero Project – Episode 19 “Astonishing Austin” (UK/Ireland)

Austin knows what it’s like when food is scarce. It was one of those times when he decided to grab a handful of beans and plant a garden. He invited his community to pick what they wanted, and word spread. Nearby farmers and volunteers came to help him work the soil and now, this local hero has shown a whole city how to sow the seeds of hope and reap the literal fruits of their labor.


PJ Masks (Shorts) (2015) (S1) (Australia/New Zealand)

During the day, Amaya, Connor and Greg lead totally normal lives, but they transform into superheroes during the night and use their powers to fight villains and solve mysteries.


Wild Japan: Snow Monkeys (2014) (Australia/New Zealand)

Liam Neeson narrates a beautiful look at the snowy world of a group of Macaque monkeys, including one naive infant’s touching attempt to befriend the troupe’s powerful leader.
