It’s Monday and time to take a look at what’s coming to Disney+ this week.  There are two big exclusives arriving this week including “Muppets Now” and a visual album by Beyonce “Black Is King” based on “The Lion King”.

Friday 31st July

Muppets Now (Global)

“Muppets Now” is The Muppets Studio’s first unscripted series and first original series for Disney+. In the six-episode season, Scooter rushes to make his delivery deadlines and upload the brand-new Muppet series for streaming. They are due now, and he’ll need to navigate whatever obstacles, distractions, and complications the rest of the Muppet gang throws at him.


Black Is King (Global)

Based on the music of “The Lion King: The Gift,” and starring the album’s featured artists and some special guest appearances, “Black Is King” is a celebratory memoir for the world on the Black experience. Videos for “My Power,” “Mood 4 Eva,” and “Brown Skin Girl” are extravagances of elegance and soul. The film is a story for the ages that informs and rebuilds the present. A reunion of cultures and shared generational beliefs. A story of how the people left most broken have an extraordinary gift and a purposeful future.


Disney Family Sundays – “Mickey and Minnie: Pillows” (Global)

The Chaney family joins Amber for a Minnie and Mickey Mouse-inspired craft they can really sleep on.


One Day At Disney Episode 135 – “Ryan Meinerding: Marvel Studios Creative Director” (Global)

Creative Director Ryan Meinerding brings Marvel characters to life through innovative design every day. There’s never a dull moment as Ryan creates the first looks of characters for Marvel Studios films including Iron Man, Spider-Man, Captain America and more. From initial sketches to special effects, Ryan oversees the process of bringing the next iteration of iconic characters to the screen.


Incredibles 2 (US/Canada)

Telecommunications guru Winston Deavor enlists Elastigirl to fight crime and make the public fall in love with superheroes once again. That leaves Mr. Incredible with one of his greatest challenges ever — staying home and taking care of three rambunctious children. As Violet, Dash and Jack-Jack offer him a new set of headaches, a cybercriminal named Screenslaver launches his dastardly plan — hypnotizing the world through computer screens.


Alaska Animal Rescue (S1) (US/Canada)

Dedicated first responders, veterinarians and animal caretakers from the Alaska SeaLife Center, the Alaska Raptor Center and the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center brave dangerous terrain and unforgiving climates to respond to animals in need.


Animal Showdown (S1) (US/Canada/Australia/New Zealand)

Enter the ring to witness an epic battle between two animals! Stats, fun facts, photos, and in-depth profiles about each contender will help you pick winners in more than a dozen mighty matchups.


Best Job Ever (S1) (US/Canada)

National Geographic explorers are curious about our planet, committed to understanding it, and passionate about helping make it better. Watch as these explorers give you the firsthand scoop on the best—and sometimes the worst—parts of some seriously awesome professions. Find out what i’s like to explore the stars, chart unexplored mountains, dive to unknown depths, or map a lost city. Can you believe they get paid to do this?

Every big cat boasts extraordinary powers. From extreme speed to bone crushing bites, big cats are some of the most impressive predators on the planet.


Cradle of the Gods  (US/Canada/Australia/New Zealand)

The 11,500 year old Göbekli Tepe temple complex, unearthed by a team of scientists in Turkey, could be the spark of civilisation that led mankind towards farming, urban life and all that followed.

Dr. Oakley, Yukon Vet (S8) (US/Canada)

Dr. Michelle Oakley is the only all-species vet for hundreds of miles. She’s back to explore new ground and help the animals of the Yukon and beyond.


Fearless Adventures with Jack Randall (S1) (US/Canada/Australia/New Zealand)

Jack Randall will do just about anything to show people the amazing wildlife that’s out there— even if the animals don’t always cooperate. Check out the hilarious situations Jack finds himself in as he goes head-to-head with all kinds of critters.


Hunt for the Abominable Snowman  (US/Canada/Australia/New Zealand)

Across the Himalayas are stories of the yeti, or abominable snowman. Half man, half ape, the yeti is said to roam only the most remote peaks, where people rarely venture. Now, veteran explorer and climber Gerry Moffatt sets out to find proof in a hunt that will test his stamina. As conventional scientific theories challenge ancient beliefs and credible witnesses, he works to separate fact from fiction and find hard evidence that the legend is real.


India’s Wild Leopards (US/Canada)

Journey to Ladakh in the Himalaya in search of Snow Leopards – the ghost of the mountains. Then venture into the realm of the smallest of big cats – the Clouded Leopard in the jungles of north east India. Wildlife Cameraman & National Geographic Fellow, Sandesh Kadur is on a mission to uncover their secretive lives.


Jungle Animal Rescue (S1) (US/Canada)

A land of elephants, tigers, leopards and bears, India is one of the most biodiverse countries on earth. But it’s also home to 1.3 billion people who increasingly compete with wild animals for living space. Now, a dedicated team of conservationists and vets are on a mission to rescue animals in distress and find a way for India’s people and wildlife to coexist in harmony.


King Fishers (S1) (US/Canada/Australia/New Zealand)

Each week three fishermen compete to host their own unique fishing trip. The winner must not only provide the best fishing experience, but also land the most impressive catch. Fishing just got reel in this ultimate fishing experience.


Lost Temple of the Inca  (US/Canada)

Legendary archeologist Johan Reinhard spent his career searching for the lost temples of the Inca Empire, discovering all but one: Ausangate, named after one of the most sacred mountains in Peru. Now in his seventies, he’s handed the torch to environmental scientist Preston Sowell, who makes a mysterious discovery at an alpine lake near Mt Ausangate that he believes is the lost temple. This film follows Sowell’s journey of discovery, loss and adventure as he seeks the truth about this sacred place.


Marvel Funko (S1-2) (US/Canada/Australia/New Zealand)

A series of animated shorts featuring Marvel characters in Funko Pop Vinyl form.


Surviving the Mount St. Helens Disaster (US/Canada)

The 1980 eruption of Mount St. Helens was the deadliest in U.S. history. Survivor testimonies and rare images reveal the cataclysms it unleashed.


Weirdest, Bestest, Truest (S1) (US/Canada/Australia/New Zealand)

Siblings Kirby and Charlie share strange discoveries and fun facts from the world of Weird But True! And Charlie gives a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to create these action-packed episodes.


What Sam Sees (S1) (US/Canada/Australia/New Zealand)

Jump into the water with scuba diver Sam and discover the amazing world of underwater animals. The Sam Cam gives you a secret look at her ocean adventures, which she goes on with aquarium experts whose exclusive interviews add more fun to the journey.


27 Dresses (UK/Ireland/Australia/New Zealand)

Altruistic Jane finds herself facing her worst nightmare as her younger sister announces her engagement to the man Jane secretly adores.


Feast (UK/Ireland/Australia/New Zealand)

This Oscar-winning animated short film tells the story of one man’s love life as seen through the eyes of his best friend and dog, Winston, and revealed bite by bite through the meals they share.


Get a Horse! (Australia/New Zealand)

Mickey and his friends go on a peaceful wagon ride until Peg-Leg Pete tries to run them off the road.


Lorenzo (Australia/New Zealand)

A black street cat teaches Lorenzo, a feline cat, a lesson by cursing her attractive tail.


Paperman (UK/Ireland/Australia/New Zealand)

After being flattered by a girl while travelling to work in a train, a man tries to catch her attention by using a fleet of paper aircraft.


Tangled Ever After (Australia/New Zealand)

Princess Rapunzel and her fiance, Flynn Rider, prepare for their grand wedding. However, their companions, Pascal and Maximus, lose the rings and struggle to find them before it is too late.


The Ballad of Nessie (Australia/New Zealand)

A land developer forces Nessie and her rubber duck to find a new home at Loch Ness.


Tick Tock Tale (Australia/New Zealand)

A quirky mantle clock is often ridiculed by the fancier clocks in a London shop. However, one day, when a thief sets his eyes on the swankier ones, the mantle clock comes to their rescue.


Marvel Hero Project – Episode 20 (Finale)  “High Flyin’ Hailey” (UK/Ireland)

Hailey helps her sister and other kids with epilepsy get the medical care and support they need.
