The Skrull secret invasion is finally revealed. A hypnotism trick at a slumber party goes wrong. And Steamboat Willie makes his return to Mickey Mouse animated shorts. Let’s take a look at what to watch this weekend on Disney+.

THE SLUMBER PARTY

“The Slumber Party” depicts the hilarious aftermath of a sleepover birthday party hypnotism gone wrong as best friends Megan and Paige, along with soon-to-be step-sister Veronica, wake up with absolutely no memory of the night before. Now they must retrace their steps to find missing birthday girl Anna Maria and explain why there’s a flock of baby ducks in the bathtub, what happened to Megan’s eyebrow, and why she’s wearing unattainable hottie Jake Ramirez’s signature black hoodie.

SECRET INVASION

In Marvel Studios’ new series “Secret Invasion,” set in the present day MCU, Nick Fury learns of a clandestine invasion of Earth by a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls. Fury joins his allies, including Everett Ross, Maria Hill and the Skrull Talos, who has made a life for himself on Earth. Together they race against time to thwart the imminent Skrull invasion and save humanity.

PRETTY FREEKIN SCARY

Teenager Frankie Ripp has a seemingly perfect life until she dies, but after debating the Grim Reaper, she is allowed to return home to attend middle school accompanied by Underworld guardians Pretty and Scary.

RAVEN’S HOME

Single mother Raven Baxter raises her children along with her friend, Chelsea. Things take a turn when Raven’s son starts showing psychic abilities.

TOMORROW X TOGETHER: OUR LOST SUMMER

In 2019, “Tomorrow X Together”, made a splash by becoming the first K-pop group to enter the U.S. Billboard 200 chart with their debut album. In “Tomorrow X Together: Our Lost Summer”, viewers get to see band members SOOBIN, YEONJUN, BEOMGYU, TAEHYUN, and HUENINGKAI reunite in preparation for their international tour. With nerves at an all-time high and pressure to deliver the performance of a lifetime, how will the group handle themselves on some of the world’s biggest stages, including Lollapalooza? Follow along in this upcoming documentary slated to debut July 28 only on Disney+.

THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF MICKEY MOUSE: STEAMBOAT SILLY

The beloved Emmy Award-winning “The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse” shorts culminate with a final episode titled “Steamboat Silly,” which follows Mickey Mouse and his friends as they must stop hundreds of old film reel versions of Mickey from wreaking havoc all over town. The short will debut July 28 on Disney+ as part of Disney’s 100-year anniversary celebration.

THIS FOOL

“This Fool” is an irreverent, cinematic half-hour comedy set in working class South Central Los Angeles. After Julio’s job and love life blew up at the end of last season, this season, new roommates Julio and Luis embark on finding new careers and romances with the help of Minister Payne, Chef Percy and other former Huggers.

THE HARDY BOYS

When Frank (Rohan Campbell) and Joe Hardy (Alexander Elliot) receive mysterious posthumous instructions from their grandmother, they find themselves on the hunt for a third powerful relic — the same one their Great Grandfather was after. However, they aren’t the only ones looking it…so the race is on to stop a power from being unleashed on the world! Nothing is what it seems, as The Hardy Boys and their friends face their most dangerous and unpredictable case yet. The future is coming for our heroes, whether they’re ready or not.

MOTHER UNDERCOVER

The gripping new four-part docu-series, “Mother Undercover,” tells the tales of four courageous mothers on a mission to save or get justice for their children. Across four captivating episodes, audiences will witness the extraordinary lengths mothers will go to protect their children. In incidents of murder, international kidnapping, mass suicide and judicial corruption, these four mothers transform into undercover detectives, mounting covert operations and taking matters into their own hands. The series showcases the strength and resilience of these women who give new meaning to the saying “a mother’s love knows no bounds.”

FUTURAMA

After a brief ten-year hiatus, Futurama has crawled triumphantly from the cryogenic tube, its full original cast and satirical spirit intact. The ten all-new episodes of season eight have something for everyone. New viewers will be able to pick up the series from here, while long-time fans will recognize payoffs to decades-long mysteries – including developments in the epic love story of Fry and Leela, the mysterious contents of Nibbler’s litter box, the secret history evil robot Santa, and the whereabouts of Kif and Amy’s tadpoles. Meanwhile there’s a whole new pandemic in town as the crew explores the future of vaccines, bitcoin, cancel culture, and streaming TV.

OLIVER AND COMPANY

And if you are looking for legacy content, check out Oliver and Company. This animated film was the very last film of Disney’s Bronze Age of Animation and featured the vocal talents of Joey Lawrence, Cheech Marin, Billy Joel and Bette Midler. It’s a 1980s, animal version of “Oliver Twist.”
