What To Watch On Disney+ This Weekend | Bear In The Big Blue House
A friendly bear renews his lessons to preschoolers. Cassian Andor continues his journey from outcast to rebel. And it’s draft day at hockey camp for the Mighty Ducks. Let’s take a look at what to watch this weekend on Disney+.
BEAR IN THE BIG BLUE HOUSE
Bear teaches pre-schoolers exploration, imagination and problem solving. This has been one of the most requested library titles since Disney+ launched, and Disney is finally providing it for fans. It was a favorite of my nephew when he was a kid, and is popular among Millennials who want to introduce their children to shows from their past. All four seasons are now streaming on Disney+.
DANCING WITH THE STARS
The first series to live stream on Disney+ held two episodes this week to mark “Prom Night.” “Stars’ Stories Week: Prom Night” features the 11 remaining couples performing dances to hits that bring them back to their high school proms. The episodes of the hit dancing competition show aired Monday and Tuesday and is still available for streaming. Voting is not available on a delayed watch.
STAR WARS: ANDOR
The “Andor” series explores a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the difference he can make. The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It’s an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero. So far, the first six episodes have felt like two stories each contained in its own three episode arc. It’s a different show that is producing excellent dialogue on top of the excellent special effects we expect from a “Star Wars” project.
THE MIGHTY DUCKS: GAME CHANGERS
It’s Draft Day, when coaches select their teams for tournament play. Alex has thrown down a gauntlet to Coach Cole, and pressure’s on for her to find players who will deliver. Even her own son would rather be drafted to Cole’s elite team. Nick, the presumptive last pick, can at least spot talent, and offers to help Alex scout. Evan and Sofi try to reconnect, as their summer dreams pull them apart. And the draft plays out in some surprising ways, creating new dilemmas for our Ducks.
SPIDER-MAN: THE NEW ANIMATED SERIES
Peter Parker struggles to fulfil his responsibilities as Spider-Man, a superhero, while juggling academics, a job and his romance with Mary Jane. Season one is currently available on Disney+.
THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN
Peter Parker, a high school student, receives extraordinary powers after being bitten by a spider. He must now try to balance his personal life while trying to save the city. One season is available on Disney+.
HALL OF VILLAINS
Host Meg Donnely takes you down a Haunted hallway. The Z-O-M-B-I-E-S star gives viewers a look at some of the best Disney Villains.
HALLOWEENTOWN
And, if you’re looking for library content. Check out “Halloweentown.” The popular Disney Channel Original Movie tells the story of the Cromwell Family as they must bridge the gap between Halloweentown and the mortal realm.
Those are some of my picks. What will you be watching this weekend on Disney+?
